Four reasons you may be failing at your business
Written By Andrew Ismond on January 31st, 2012We are all aware of the fact that running your own business or working at a startup is no easy task. Year after year many businesses based on great ideas get started, but very few ever get to reach their full potential, many of these businesses often fail. However, despite the low success rate of new businesses, there are many new companies which have turned out to be successful. With the way my brain works, I felt the need to look into this seemingly unexplained trend or occurrence. In this article, I take a look into a few of the companies which I have worked for in the past and put together these simple rules as to why some companies don’t make it to the top positions:
Reason # 1- The customer is not catered to.
One of the key differences from a booming company to an insignificant mediocre one is the level of customer service. No matter what we do, we all are customers in some way or another and we all appreciate great customer service. Personally, if I can’t feel satisfied as a customer and your employee cannot present his/her products with confidence, then straight up: I will find an alternative somewhere else that can provide me with better service.
Tip: Ensure that your customer needs are always catered to and met. Sometimes this means going a little out of your way to make them happy.

Why you should start to promote your business online
Written By Myron Yarde (MyRo) on January 30th, 2012So I read this quote “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” By Zig Ziglar and it encouraged me to share the most useful info I have via this blog.
Meet your audience where they spend the most of their time
Many of you are becoming aware that to compete effectively in your area of business you need to access your audience where they spend most of the time. How to grow your business with little to no resources in 3 steps
Written By Myron Yarde (MyRo) on December 9th, 2011Meeting and learning from different entrepreneurs and corporate managers has definitely been an exciting and enlightening learning experience. By interaction and observation the situation, it can be described as a survival game for entrepreneurs here in the Caribbean. Corporations have the bulk of cash, while entrepreneurs are holding on to the little they have, continuously looking for ways to grow revenue and compete better.
It is critical for the small or medium business owner to take action to make more with less. Making the most with meager resources is simple but by no means easy:
- Know what you’re great at: by knowing what you do best you ever ready to share it to the people who can benefit from it the most.
- Be consistent: you improve by doing things the right way each time it is required. Stay on top of your game and never slack off.
- Leverage technology: how you make use of technology can have a major effect on your productivity and ability to do more than just “survive” among competitors who are better financed and better staffed.
Over time you will develop more ways to grow your business with less resources. Please share them below; also let me know what your thoughts are on this post.

Inspiration plus Company Culture Breeds Innovative “Caribonixers”
Written By Oudin Samuel on November 2nd, 2011I’ve been asked many times by a few clients, “What makes you guys so innovative?” Where does your innovative inspiration come from? I have always replied with the same answer… “It comes from God.” Therefore if we ever claim to inspire institutions, businesses, persons or designs, the origin of the inspiration really comes from somebody who is bigger than us, working through us.
Now that doesn’t mean that Caribonix is a religious organization. In fact, everyone who is someone (even atheists) believes in something. At Caribonix, our company’s culture is simply designed to accommodate and respect every religion, race, sex and creed. It’s not about what you are or who you are! It is, however, about how well you can do what you do.
Our goal at Caribonix is to create a fun filled, loving, resourceful, comfortable, productive and educational atmosphere that encourages our employees to perform at their highest level. We truly believe in our employee’s peace of mind so much that in the future we may look towards implementing perks and benefits such as washing machines at the office. If you don’t have one home and you’re home on the weekend why not come into the office and wash a few loads? While you wait, feel free to catch up on some work or give yourself a head start for the new week. (Please note we currently do not offer this.)
At Caribonix we are employee centered. We strongly believe that employees are the ones who make the company. The founders simply set the tone and our tone is to innovate. We do not merely offer jobs. We build careers.
If you are interested in becoming an innovative “Caribonixer” simply send us your resume and portfolio to careers@caribonix.com.
Check out Careers page and Job listing (editor stated it would better to call it that) page as we will soon be posting available career positions.
Caribonix Innovative Design Inspires Local University New Website
Written By Oudin Samuel on October 4th, 2011Innovation, a term widely used by many, a term derived from the Latin word innovatus which is the noun form of innovare “to renew or change” steaming from in-”into” + novus –”new”.
At Caribonix, we take innovation very seriously. While other companies and institution may fail, or lack the ability to innovate; at Caribonix, innovation is the heart beat to our entire organization. We inspire, we lead, we innovate, we research and we do what we love, to the best of our abilities with the highest of moral standards and integrity.
